Just thought i'd let you guys know that i'm going on holiday for a week starting this Saturday, the 11th of July till the next Saturday, the 18th of July. So, i won't be online at all ^-^

Oh, and the contest has finished, but i'm not going to be judging until after my holiday. So, if anybody wants to enter last minute, they are more than welcome to submit until the 18th

What is it that you find scary? What is it that you find beautiful?

These two can be very powerful descriptive words, but they are each completely indivdual to the person. What one person finds terrifying may be totally different to what someone else thinks is scary. And the same with the concept of beauty.

This is what makes them such interesting themes



The contest, is to take one of them, and try and illustrate it into some sort of living creature.

Can you imagine what would be the most beautiful creature? Would it have wings? Be gold and shimmering? Fur, or feathers? Maybe both. Would it be angelic? Or is your idea of beauty more close to home, such as the purity of a tiger?

What about your own, personal idea of a terrifying monster? Would it be a great dragon with three heads, it's breath hot and putrid, it's teeth stained with the blood of a thousand dead? Or again, maybe go against the grain and choose a cute little rabbit that turns into a crazed monster when the sun goes down?

It's all up to you

There are a few rules

1. Nothing too graphic, or pornagraphic
2. You are allowed to submit upto two pieces. One on 'beauty', the other on 'terror'. You cannot display both themes in one image It has to be one each. Or you can just submit one image, either displaying terror or beauty. It's upto you
3. Submissions will be judged on creativity and individual artist skill.
4. All submissions must be in by the 1st of July. No more will be accepted past this date.
